Now, one thing I've noticed is that, when advertising for food, you generally want to make the food look appealing. That is if your intent is to sell the product anyway. The thing I observed, after viewing these commercials, is that, when selecting a fast food place, the image of these commercials tended to make me avoid Tacobell. In fact, you could say that these commercials sort of work as an appetite suppressant. Seriously, what were they thinking? Since when does slimy and stringy go together with appealing?
Now, they only showed these commercials for about a week or so after the Superbowl, so I figured Tacobell must have wised-up. But, low and behold, they have begun showing them again. Tacobell needs to give their advertisers a kick in the jewels and maybe try to get in on the deal with Jack in the Box. These commercials just aren't doing it for them.
What's more? I've began to see that song as the song from the stupid Tacobell commercial, even though I've been familiar with it for a couple decades. I'll get the song in my head and think, "Oh man! That's that stupid commercial!" and then I remember that it's actually a good song. Come to think of it, it seems I first became aware of the song when it was used for a much more appealing Burger King commercial.
"Tacobell! No! Bad Tacobell! No cash for you!"

Dude, I've thought the same thing about Carl's Jr. ads for a long time now.
"If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face."
Dude, I don't want to watch a messy eater eat. Really, I don't like watching anyone eat, but especially not someone making a mess and noises while they're eating.
Dude, I just felt like saying Dude again.
How about that Carls Jr chilie cheeseburger commercial. It's a good fast food burger, but seeing chilie all over some guys face isn't gonna make me want chilie.
